Computing at Corpus Christi

At Corpus Christi, our Computing curriculum equips children with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to thrive in an increasingly digital world. Across the school, pupils learn to use technology creatively and responsibly, developing strong foundations in coding, digital literacy and information technology. Online safety lies at the heart of our approach: from the earliest stages, children are taught how to communicate respectfully, protect personal information, recognise risks and seek help when needed. As they move through the year groups, pupils deepen their understanding of key computing concepts—such as programming, networks, data handling and safe online interactions—while applying their learning through engaging units including spreadsheets, touch typing, email, algorithms, micro:bits, 3D modelling and more. By Year 6, our pupils can navigate online spaces thoughtfully, evaluate digital content critically, understand how online systems shape information, and manage their own digital wellbeing. This progressive curriculum ensures every child becomes a capable, confident and responsible digital citizen.
